Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the N6 towards Reddersburg this morning after 07h30.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a motor vehicle had overturned resulting in a child tragically losing a life and three children sustaining injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
The injured children were treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
