Nine people were injured after a taxi and two vehicles collided at the intersection of Louis and Atterbury Rd in Garsfontein this morning at around 08h00. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedic arrived at the scene to find the crumpled remains of the vehicles obstructing the roadway; the patients had all sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor. After medics stabilised them on scene they transported the injured to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.
