Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the R21 near the R24 in the airport area in Kempton Park this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found two men in a critical condition after a motor vehicle overturned. Both men were entrapped in the vehicle and services had to make use of the Jaws of Life to extricate them both from the vehicle.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift one of the critically injured men to hospital while the other injured man was rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care he required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
