A man is fighting for his life after he was hit by a vehicle along Newlands west drive near Durban this afternoon. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the ground with life threatening injuries. After he was placed on a ventilator and skilfully immobilised on a trauma board, they airlifted the patient to a Durban hospital for the care that he required.
