A sixteen year old has been killed and four others seriously injured in a single vehicle accident on the N3 West Bound near Brickfield, Durban just after 11pm last night.
On arrival Rescue Care paramedics found that a single vehicle had somehow lost control and rolled numerous times coming to rest on its wheels. A young man had been ejected from the vehicle whilst it was rolling. Paramedics immediately began treating him however his injuries were to severe and he passed away on the scene. A further four people in the vehicle had sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. They were stabilized on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care that they required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
