Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a fire in Bryanston this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a woman in a critical condition following a house fire. Reports from the scene indicate that a gas cylinder exploded causing the fire to ignite.
The critically injured woman was treated on scene and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that she required.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events will remain the subject of an investigation.
