Several men have been injured and approximately seven are presumed to be dead after a structural collapse in Alberton, Johannesburg South this morning.
ER24 paramedics along with various emergency services on scene have treated approximately nine patients with injuries ranging from minor to serious. They have been transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Paramedics are still on scene working to free the construction workers still trapped in the rubble.
The collapse occurred while the men were working on the construction of the building.
The exact cause of the collapse is unclear at this stage.
