Man rescued after falling into service hole, Limpopo

A 60-year-old-man sustained moderate injuries this afternoon after he fell down a service hole in the Polokwane area in Limpopo.

ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the patient lying next to the hole. His friends had gathered around him.

Paramedics assessed the man, finding that he had sustained injuries to his back and chest.

Once treated, the patient was transported to Mediclinic Limpopo for further medical treatment.

Witnesses later told paramedics that the man had been worker near the hole when his foot slipped and he fell two metres into the hole. His colleges later brought him to the surface.
