One person tragically died while two others were critically injured in an accident along Condor Drive, Helikon Park, Randfontein. A report from the scene indicates that the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree. Exact detail to the cause however will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the occupants still trapped in the twisted frame of the car. After triaging the injured they found that two people had sustained life threatening injurieswhile one person tragically died before our arrival. Firemen worked tirelessly for more than two hours to free the critically wounded from the wreckage while paramedics worked tirelessly to stabilise them.
After the patients were treated and extricated they airlifted the critically wounded female with the Netcare helicopter to a local hospital while the critically injured man was transported by ambulance to hospital for the care that he required.
