A man in his 30s was killed this morning in an elevator accident in Durban CBD, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on scene and found a large group of bystanders gathered around a goods elevator.
On assessment, paramedics found that a man had been crushed to death when he got caught in the elevator doors and lift.
Rescue services had to break open the elevator doors to free the trapped man’s body.
Witnesses on scene said that they had gone to investigate after hearing the man’s screams.
The cause of the incident is unknown but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
