Six people were injured after a minibus and motor vehicle collided on Kingfisher Avenue near Rondebult Road in Sunward Park, Boksburg this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a motor vehicle came to a standstill on its side and rescue services had to make use of the Jaws of Life to extricate the occupants out of the vehicle.
After assessment of all patients on scene it was found that two people were in a critical condition and four people sustained serious injuries.
All the injured patients were treated on scene before they were transported to hospital for further medical care.
Traffic was severely affected by the accident.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
