Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an accident on the N2 north bound approximately five kilometres from the Tweni off-ramp near Margate this afternoon. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events are still unclear and remain the subject of a police investigation.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a motor vehicle had left the roadway and came to a standstill down an embankment.
The one occupant was found to have sustained moderate injuries and after receiving treatment on scene, the injured patient was transported to hospital for further medical care.
