Two men sustained critical injuries after a retaining wall collapsed on Umhlanga Rocks Drive in Umhlanga this morning.
Exact details surrounding the incident are still unclear. Reports from the scene indicate that the men were entrapped under sand and rubble. Co-workers immediately started digging the two men from underneath the rubble.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene as the men were removed from under the wall rubble.
After assessment of the two men paramedics found that the two men were both in a critical condition.
Both men were treated on scene, immobilised on trauma boards and rushed to hospital for urgent medical care.
