A biker has sustained critical injuries after he collided with a car on Jan Smuts Highway and Harris Crescent in Sherwood, Durban just after 2pm today.
Rescue Care and ER24 paramedics arrived to find the critically injured biker lying on the roadway. The patient was assessed and found to have sustained multiple injuries. Advanced Life Support paramedics had to place the man on a manual ventilator on the scene. Once he had been stabilized he was transported to a nearby private hospital for the further care that he required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
