A taxi accident at the intersection of Louis Botha and 6th ave in Orange Grove has left six people seriously injured. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics their rescue unit and the fire department arrived at the scene and found the passenger from the taxi still trapped in the twisted metal after a bakkie and taxi collided in the intersection.
While the rescue officers used the Jaws of Life to free the injured medics clambered into the wreckage to treat the patient. After the injured were stabilised at the scene medics transported them to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required.
