A twenty – eight – year – old German tourist was seriously injured after falling from a walk way on the Port Elizabeth beach front yesterday afternoon. A report from the scene indicates that the man was leaning up against the railings when it gave way and the man fell several meters and one the beach.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and had to hike down to the patient with all their equipment. After the patient was stabilised and skilfully immobilised on a trauma board, they hoisted him back up to the road level, loaded him in an ambulance and transported him to a local hospital for the care that he required.
