11 people were injured this morning, four of them critically, when three vehicles collided on church Street in Bloemfontein.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the road blocked by the vehicles lying in the middle of the road. Fire services later closed the road to allow paramedics to work safely.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that 11 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to critical.
Treatment was started on the injured to stabilize their vital signs before they were transported to various hospitals such as Pelonomi Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene to investigate.
