One man was critically injured after a bakkie overturned in Bloemfontein along Alexander Road this evening. Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway obstructed with accident debris and the twisted remains of the vehicle. One of the passengers on the bakkie was ejected and found at the side of the roadway with life threatening injuries.
After the Netcare 911 Advanced life support paramedic placed the man on a ventilator and skilfully immobilised him, they transported the critically wounded patient to a local hospital for the care that he required. The other two occupants from the bakkie escaped uninjured.
