Three women were rushed to hospital after they allegedly overdosed on an unknown substance at a mall on Bram Fischer Road in Randburg.
Paramedics from ER24 found the three women lying on the floor close to the entrance of the mall. One of them was in a critical condition. They [paramedics] initiated advanced life support on her in order to assist her with her breathing.
The other two women were still able to talk to paramedics but unable to describe what had happened.
Bystanders flocked to the entrance of the mall and explained that the area is well known for illicit substances.
Once stabilised on scene, they were transported to Helen Joseph Hospital for further care.
