Two pedestrians seriously injured in Dobsonville collision

Two pedestrians were left in a serious condition after they were knocked down on Main Reef Road at the Randfontein Extension in Dobsonville this evening.

Paramedics that arrived on the scene found the two pedestrians lying a few meters away from the vehicle with multiple fractures and possible head injuries. Both pedestrians, believed to be in their early twenties, sustained injuries when they apparently tried to cross the road and failed to notice an oncoming vehicle.

Both were stabilised on scene before they were rushed off to Leratong Provincial Hospital for further treatment. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
