A man was seriously injured following a stabbing incident at Mtwalume Beach on the KZN South Coast.
Reports from the scene indicate that a couple was walking when they were approached and held at gunpoint. The man was stabbed multiple times and fortunately the woman was unharmed during the incident.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the injured man in a serious condition after sustaining multiple stab wounds. The man was treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
