A man was killed and two others injured late last night when three vehicles collided on the N12 near Klipdrift in Potchefstroom.
ER24 paramedics from the Potchefstroom branch arrived on scene and found the three vehicles in the middle of the road.
On inspection, paramedics found that the male driver of the one of the vehicles lay trapped and had sustained fatal injuries. Unfortunately nothing more could be done for the patient.
Two other patients were found on scene with moderate injuries. Paramedics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support.
Once treated, paramedics transported the patients to Mediclinic Potchefstroom for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
