A 12-year-old girl is in a serious condition after she was hit by a light motor vehicle on Holme Road in Lansdowne in the Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics from the South Metropole arrived on scene, they found the young patient lying in the middle of the one lane. Bystanders had gathered to view the commotion.
Assessments showed that the patient was in a serious condition, with injuries to her legs and waist.
Paramedics provided the patients with advanced life support treatment and thereafter transported her to Red Cross Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the vehicle fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
