Cyclists injured in pre-Argus training

ER24 urges the public to be cautious of cyclist on the road, especially people living in the Western Cape area as cyclist from all over the world are training for the Argus that is taking place on Sunday the 8th of March.

Two cyclists were injured in collisions earlier today within 15 kilometres from each other in a training session in preparation for the well known cycling event.

The first incident was on Victoria Road in Oudekraal. ER24 paramedics attended to the scene and transported the patient to Mediclinic Cape Town for further treatment. The patient had sustained moderate injuries.

The second incident occured on Constantia Main Road in Groot Constantia. One patient sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ER24 paramedics to St. Vincent Palloti Hospital for further treatment.

The cause of these two incidents remain unknown.
