A 21-year-old man from Magatle, Limpopo, accidentally shot and killed his 14-year-old cousin. He firstly fabricated a story about three intruders breaking into the house and shooting the boy, but eventually confessed.
He said that he had thrown the 9mm pistol into a pit toilet. Police divers and the search-and-rescue team were called in to assist in the search this morning and the firearm was successfully recovered.
The photographs depict the toilet being emptied, the pit the police member had to enter and the member being suited up.
