Taxi driver killed in collision in Durban

A taxi driver has passed away after the vehicle he was driving collided with a bridge on the N2 South Bound before Inanda Road around 9pm last night.

Rescue Care and other emergency services were called to the accident scene and were horrified with what they saw when they arrived on scene. A taxi had collided with a bridge on the N2 South before Inanda Road however after impact the taxi tore in two pieces. The two pieces with totally separate from each other in the centre medium. Unfortunately the driver had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing further paramedics could do to assist him. He was declared deceased on the scene.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the single vehicle to lose control and collide with the bridge however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
