Seven people were injured following an collision on the N14 near Koster Road in Magaliesburg last night.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the accident scene and found that two light delivery vehicles had collided head on. One vehicle came to a standstill in the middle of the roadway while the other vehicle came to a standstill next to the roadway. Both vehicles sustained severe damage to the frontal areas of the vehicles.
Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that four people sustained critical injuries, two people sustained serious injuries and one person sustained moderate injuries.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift a seven-year-old-girl to hospital who sustained critical injuries.
The remaining six patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the head on collision and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
