A collision between a taxi and an SUV on Kingsway Road in Daveyton, east of Johannesburg, has left 16 people injured this morning.
Paramedics from the ER24 Johannesburg East branch arrived on scene and found both taxi and SUV parked on the side of the road. Occupants from the taxi were found sitting on the nearby pavement.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that 16 patients were found on scene, their injuries ranged from minor to moderate.
Paramedics set up a staging area on scene and treated the patients for their injuries. Once treated, the patients were transported to Glynwood Hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
