This crash occurred in the Helpmekaar area near Ladysmith. ( the road turns off the Helpmekaar road and goes to the Mhlumayo location).
A truck and bakkie collided in this crash. One child has died and another critically injured. Four adults were also injured in the crash. The injured were transported to Ladysmith Hospital.
The child that died was in grade 12. Another child was critical. 2 female pupils were serious. The truck driver and conductor were also injured. After hitting the bakkie the truck crash in to a house. No one was in the house at the time.
