Three people have been injured one critically so after two vehicles collided on the M4 South near Quality Street around 05:30am on Sunday.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find two vehicles badly damaged in the fast lane of the M4 South. It is alleged that a vehicle had broken down and as the occupants were trying to put a warning triangle out a vehicle collided into them.
One man had sustained critical injuries and was found lying on the busy highway. Advanced Life Support paramedics worked to stabilize the critically injured man on scene. Once all of the injured had been stabilized they were transported by Rescue Care and EMRS to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
