Four injured when scaffolding fell onto men at a construction site in West Street in Durban

Four men have been injured this afternoon when scaffolding fell onto of the men at a construction site in West Street in Durban.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived at the site and were ushered up to the second floor where they found the patients.

Four men were found beneath scaffolding which they had been working near when it collapsed.

Paramedics began carefully removing the scaffolding and found that four men had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately no-one had sustained any serious injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to St Augustines for further medical treatment.

The cause of the incident is still unclear but respective authorities are on scene for further investigations.
