A 73 year old male has drowned at a popular gym in Westville this morning.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on scene to find bystanders doing CPR on the male. Advanced Life Support intervention was initiated and the patient was placed on a manual ventilator on the scene. Paramedics worked for close to an hour on the gentleman however they were not successful and the patient was declared deceased on the scene.
It is unclear exactly what happened however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.
