Six people have been injured, when a tent partially collapsed at Madadeni in northern KZN.
The marquee tent had been set up for a church service. The partial collapse of the tent resulted in six people sustaining injuries. One patient sustained critical injures, while the remaining patients had injuries ranging from serious to minor.
Medically qualified people – including an off duty KZN EMS paramedic who was attending the event – started treating the injured and they were shorty then assisted by additional paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services and a local private ambulance service.
The six patients were stabilized at the scene before being transported to local health institutions for continued medical care.
The cause of the collapse is not known.
