A man believed to be in his late forties is in a serious condition after he was assaulted and stabbed in a park on Umhlanga Rocks Drive, Durban North early this evening.
Crisis Medical Paramedics were called to assist by members of the South African Police Services after an altercation between two men resulted in a stabbing.
The victim was treated on scene and intermediate life support intervention was needed to stabilize him before he was taken through to a nearby hospital for further care.
The motive of the incident and the facts pertaining to it are unknown and the necessary investigations will take place.
