Diver resuscitated at Shelly Beach

Paramedics and emergency services earlier this morning responded to the Shelly Beach Ski boat launch site. A lady diver had reportedly experienced difficulties while out at sea diving. She was rushed back to shore, where paramedics were waiting to assist her.

When the boat beached paramedics immediately rushed to take over treatment of the lady that had been started by people on the boat. Paramedics worked frantically together with Members from the NSRI and Police Search and Rescue officers to resuscitate the patient. Resuscitation effects resulted in the patient’s condition improving and she was transported to a local hospital for continued medical care.

The exact circumstances resulting in the patient’s condition are not fully known at this stage wand will be investigated.
