A man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on the R102 in Umgababa this morning at around 05h00. A report from the scene indicates that the bike was traveling toward Umkomaas when it struck a dog.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the passenger of the bike had been flung off and landed down an embankment with serious injuries, the dog was found in the road but tragically died .
After medics treated the biker, he was transported to hospital by the provincial ambulance services for the care that he required.
