Constable helps with birth of baby at Tarlton SAPS client service centre

This morning at about 03:30, a baby boy named Letlhogonolo was born at the Tarlton SAPS client service centre .

It is alleged that a pregnant woman walked into the csc at about 02H00 and informed the members on duty that she called the ambulance as she suspected that she was about to give birth. The lady was received by Constable Dickson, Constable Matlhaba and Constable Baloyi.

One of the members, Constable Baloyi, who has training in “Basic Ambulance Assistance” put his training into practice and helped the woman to give birth. This three members went beyond their call of duty in bringing a healthy baby boy into this world.

The Acting Station Commander of Tarlton SAPS Captain L’S Nkhumane applauded the members for going beyond their call of duty and for working as a team in assisting the woman.
