A healthy baby girl was born in the backseat of her grandmother’s car in Pietermaritzburg this evening.
An ER24 paramedic was flagged down by a family in a vehicle, being driven by the grandmother, on Old Howick Road.
He found a pregnant woman in the backseat. The baby was already on its way.
The paramedic delivered the baby. Both mum and baby are doing well. They were transported to hospital for further care.
