Eight people were injured following a crash on North Coast Road and Malacca Drive in Durban this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a minibus and heavy goods vehicle were involved in a side impact crash. The minibus slammed into the side of the heavy goods vehicle.
Upon assessment of the occupants from both vehicles, paramedics found that eight people sustained injuries during the crash. All the injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the side impact crash and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
