A woman is fighting for her life following a pedestrian accident on the Eastern Service Road in Kelvin View, Sandton this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found a woman, believed to be in her forties, lying on the roadway after she was knocked over by a minibus. Upon assessment, paramedics found the woman to have sustained critical injuries as a result of the pedestrian crash.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured woman to hospital for the urgent medical care that she required.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the pedestrian accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
