Netcare 911 paramedics, provincial services and other services are currently still at the scene following an accident involving two trains this evening in Booysens.
Services were met with a sight of chaos as commuters started making their way out of the trains and were standing and sitting around the area.
Paramedics are currently still attending to commuters but thus far approximately two hundred and fifty commuters, who sustained minor to serious injuries, have been treated and transported to various hospitals for further medical treatment.
Fortunately there were no fatalities reported following the accident.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events are unknown and will remain a subject of an investigation.
