A man is in a critical condition following an accident on Kelly Road near Sylvan Road in Boskruin, Randburg this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics and provincial services arrived at the scene and found a motorcycle and light utility vehicle had collided head-on.
The motorcyclist was found lying approximately fifty meters away from his motorcycle on the grass area next to the roadway. Upon assessment of the twenty-five-year-old man, paramedics found that the man had sustained critical injuries during the collision. The injured motorcyclist was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.
The occupant from the light utility vehicle was not injured during the crash.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the head-on collision and preceding events are still unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
