A motorcyclist is in a critical condition after a bike and car collided along Silver Lakes Rd, Tijger Vallei, Pretoria at around 10h49 this morning. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway to be obstructed with accident debris and the twisted frame of the bike and car. The critically wounded man was found several meters from the wreckage of his bike with life threatening injuries.
Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the wounded man on scene before they airlifted him to a specialised facility for the care that he required.
