A cyclist has tragically lost his life during an accident on the R104 in Boskop this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found a man lying on the ground after he was knocked over by a heavy goods vehicle.
Upon assessment of the cyclist, paramedics found that the man had died prior to their arrival due to the extensive injuries sustained during the accident. There was nothing further that could be done for the man and sadly he was declared dead at the scene.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
