Durban drug dealers to appear in court

On 08 October, Durban Flying Squad team arrested two suspects aged 23 and 48 for possession of drugs at Umlazi U section, Durban.

The members conducted an operation in the area when they received information of a man dealing in drugs. On arrival he was found in possession of 45 straws of heroin valued at R1350.00. The members proceeded to the second suspect’s house in Umlazi and recovered 23 straws of heroin valued of R690.00. Both suspects were arrested for possession of drugs and are expected to appear today in the Umlazi Magistrates’ Court.

The KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni applauded the members for arresting the suspects and recovering drugs. “These operations will continue to keep our country drug-free and we once again applaud those communities that keep us informed of drug dealing in their suburbs,” she said.
