One person was killed in a collision that occurred on the R34 just outside Newcastle on the Memel Road this morning. The collision occurred at around 06:00 and involved only one vehicle – a truck. The truck allegedly drove out of a farm road onto the R34, lost control and drove up the embankment on the side of the road. When ER24 arrived on scene they found that one man had been killed. No other injuries were recorded. The cause of the incident remains unknown; however local authorities were on scene for investigation.
