One person died and 14 others were injured in a collision at the corner of Boy Low Road and Lager Road in Vereeniging this morning.
ER24 paramedics, Fire and Rescue and other services arrived on scene and found that a taxi, truck and car had collided. They found some patients lying around the collision scene as well as some trapped in the taxi.
Sadly there was nothing that could be done for one of the patients. She had succumbed to her injuries.

Upon assessment of all patients by paramedics it was found that patients sustained minor to critical injuries. At least five were in a critical condition. All patients were treated on scene. One patient had to be airlifted to hospital and the rest were taken to local hospital by ambulance.
The exact cause of the collision is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
