Beyers Naude Four vehicle collision leaves one dead and three injured

[HEUWELOORD] -Fetus found in rubbish bin.

A man was killed and three others injured this morning following a four vehicle collision at the Beyers Naude and Christiaan De Wet Road intersection in Honeydew, Johannesburg.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found that two bakkies and two light motor vehicles had been involved in the collision.

On inspection, paramedics discovered the lifeless body of a man lying inside one of the bakkies, showing no signs of life.

Unfortunately the man had already succumbed to his fatal injuries and was declared dead on scene.

Three other men from the second bakkie were assessed and found to have sustained moderate injuries.

The three men were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The occupants from the two light motor vehicles fortunately escaped without injury.

It is believed that the one bakkie t-boned the second bakkie in the intersection. This caused the bakkie to roll and collide with the two stationary vehicles waiting at the intersection.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
