Several injured in taxi collision on M1 South at Grayston offramp, Wynberg

Just before 6pm Monday evening EMER-G-MED’s RV1, RV3, M07, A03 and A06 responded to reports of a serious taxi collision on the M1 South at the Grayston offramp, in Wynberg.

On arrival paramedics found the injured passengers lying across the highway and the taxi lying on it’s roof, after having rolled – allegedly after the driver lost control.

A total of 15 passengers were injured, with 13 sustaining minor to moderate injuries and the other two sustaining serious injuries that required Advanced Life Support care.

The patients were treated on-scene before being transported to various nearby hospitals for further management by EMER-G-MED as well as other services.
JMPD were on-scene to investigate the exact events leading up to the collision.
