The Johannesburg Metro police, yesterday, 25th March 2016, arrested a prominent soccer star in Johannesburg for speeding and driving a car without a car registration. The Star has been detained at one of the local Police Stations.
The arrest comes as the Minister of Transport, Ms Dipuo Peters issued a directive to all traffic law enforcement officers to be on high alert, show no mercy and adopt a zero tolerance to traffic law infringers.
The Minister’s directive includes violations regarding drivers who are caught driving at high speeds. These drivers should not be given an option for bail and should be named and shamed.
